Balancing Your Solar Plexus

The Solar Plexus is located a couple inches above the bellybutton in the upper abdominal area.

This chakra may be out of balance if you find yourself struggling to set boundaries with people or maybe you constantly seek others approval? If you have a domineering personality you may tend to manipulate people to get what you want. Imbalances also show up as low self-esteem, trouble making decisions and control issues.

Physically it could cause issues with digestion, your liver, pancreas and gallbladder.

If this chakra is in balance a person would be confident, self-motivated and living with a sense of purpose.

Some affirmations that may help you:

I have the courage to create positive change in my life.

As I take on new challenges I feel calm and confident.

I am confident and capable.

Many of our past traumas are stored in the body and they continue to affect us into adulthood. If you experienced a strict upbringing, bullying, suffered mental or physical abuse you may have difficulty balancing your solar plexus. You may need additional help through therapy, emotional freedom technique or trauma based yoga. With that said, there are some yoga poses you could perform daily at home along with mindful breathing and tapping.
