Do you dread the holidays?

Although the holidays are a time to celebrate, be grateful, eat good food, buy gifts for those you love, spend time with family and friends, for many people it just ends up causing a lot of stress.

There are a multitude of reasons for that, because each family has its own unique dynamics. These days there is no such thing as that picture perfect family. All families carry some form of baggage.

Nowadays there are more complex family structures. You have some where parents are divorced and have remarried, which leads to blended families and this results in conflict because many times the traditions that each have are so different. Siblings get married and now they have a whole new set of family members so they are splitting time between both events.

Planning on who will host the celebration, figuring out a menu and dividing it  evenly so all of the burden does not lie solely on one person can cause anxiety. Family members who hold grudges and not willing to let it go even for the holidays, and the amount of money going out for decorations, food and gifts can also be overwhelming.

So if your fall into any of those categories and wonder what you can do to make this holiday season less stressful, just follow along in my video!

This technique is one of the most powerful ways to neutralize overwhelming feelings of stress, anxiety, panic or foggy thinking.

The neurovascular points are points that help regulate blood flow and stress in the body.

All you need to do while holding the points is think of the thing, or person, that is stressing you out. Keeping that thought in your mind while holding the points I showed you in the video, will allow your body to return to balance. You will feel calm and think much more clearly.

Even if you are not particularly stressed over something, just holding those points throughout the day will help the brain to rewire new patterns and help your body to stay in a relaxed state more often.

What do you do to reduce stress during the holidays? Please share!

With Love and Gratitude,
